The introduction and workshop will be held in the Geography department’s Geomatics Lab at the University of Victoria, Social Sciences and Math Building room A251.
These interactive thematic atlas’s focus on the changing geography of the Okanagan Nation and Nuu-chah-nulth territories over time.
The sites are developed and maintained by Ecotrust Canada.
Sue Hanley from the First Nations Technology Council and Peter Waardenburg, GIS Coordinator for the Okanagan Nation Alliance will facilitate the workshop, give a brief introduction to the two Atlas’s and then provide an opportunity for you to explore the sites and provide input regarding functionality, intuitiveness, layout, aesthetics etc.
